We've lost good friends, family and all good people. My heart and prayers go out to their families. They will be remembered nor will we forget those who serve out of the spotlight. To whom we owe our highest gratitude.

ARE WE WHAT WE WEAR?

We have all heard the famous quote, "You are what you eat." So now I am pausing the question, are we what we wear? Is your answer yes or no? It's totally up to you. However, allow me to help you dig for the ultimate answer to this tricky question.

Let's take the president as our example today. What If on Monday he starts off with a dashing suit. Tuesday he steps out with a pair of neat skinny jeans and a splitting white t-shirt. Come Wednesday, the President decides to groom his important self with a pair of shorts with an eye blinding colour, plain black rubber shoes and a baggy shirt with some writings engraved on it.

Keep in mind that those around him already began to whisper strange things due to his lack of  dress ettiquette. What do you think I am trying to drive home? Even if he walked out in a shabby skirt today or topless, his intelligence, persona, and his position as head of state has not changed even an inch. We are not what we wear. Sure, I understand that image shows people about one's character, religion, attitude, fashion sense and a lot more.

Our clothes may make us look dazzling, approachable, hide who we really are on the inside and fashionable. However, there's one thing our clothes will never do for us. Not even as a favor. The clothes we love so dearly will never portray who we are. They will never speak for us and they most definitely won't tell our stories on our behalf. Unless they had mouths, which we all agree is far from possible.

So, don't let your clothes be your mask. Just be you and help yourself be you by allowing your clothes to be a part of you instead of making them be someone you are not. You can dress like a ship captain, a mad man/woman, slut, fashionista, but at the end of the day, you may have fooled the world, but you can never fool yourself. Be happy with who and what you are :)

Hey mates,

It looks like we finally made it to that one day of the week everyone (including the Pope) loves. Friday or as we like to sheng-ize it Furahi day!!! Friday is the day a lot of ludicrous shit goes down. Today is when drunkards prove how they can exceed their normal limit of getting wasted, young varsity girls can't wait for 7:00ish pm to have the longest fling with the shower all in the name of scrubbing all the dirt off their bodies (will someone please tell them they'll never look like Beyonce and the likes) in order to get to some bash they've been invited for.

And today is also the day dirty deeds go down like in a wrestling ring. For others like ahem (me) today is the day we look forward to arriving home just to relax under the comfort of our warm thick duvet's and get glued to that series or movie we left half way and proceed with another as soon as the prior is done.

Just sneezed all over my screen (excuse me...sniff...sniff, blowing nose) My point is, whatever we are up to this evening, just remember that this morning, God gave you the best give you could ever receive (The gift of life) therefore, have fun, take care of yourselves and most importantly, don't forget to polish your cramming techniques for Mr. Gachewa's C.A.T at 9:00am.

Cheers :)

FUN OR TOUGH CLASS?

This semester has proved to have the toughest units we have ever witnessed. However, despite some of them being a tough nut to crack, they have a fun side to them. A good example is (Communicating Science and Technology) taught by Ms. Macharia.

You've got to admit that her sessions are the best we've ever had. Sure, we keep torturing our brains by asking ourselves how science is meant to be communicated!!! But the jovial Ms. Macharia always lightens the load off our brains with her heartfelt, humorous and educational short stories.

I loved yesterdays class. The story of the maid who was jumping over the cooking pot and sitting on the chapatis left me as confused as a new born baby brought into this world. The reason of my confusion was; I wasn't sure if the chapatis were burning hot or they had cooled off! What do you think? Anyway, what touched my bones was when she mentioned that the only one time Kenyans come together, regardless of tribe, sex and religion is when our athletes are in action; be it marathons or rugby.

Let me pause this question to you. Do you think Kenyans will ever come together as one despite sports being the key factor? What do you think we have to do to break this awful habit?

Have an extraordinary day friends :)
